Jennie Barrese has shown photography in several group and solo exhibitions, as well as many art fairs in the United States, primarily in New York City.

Her work is often constructed, either in reality before being shot or digitally manipulated in the computer using pieces of many photographs.   The themes tie very closely to the artist’s personal experiences and her work is often very personal.

She has worked for many years in the New York photography industry as a high-level retoucher and printer for both commercial and fine artists.  She brings these skills to her artwork using programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Painter, embracing both traditional mediums and cutting edge technology.



Jennie was born in Scranton, PA and received a BFA in Fine Art Photography from Syracuse University, in Syracuse NY.  She lives and works in Brooklyn NY.
